Are there any Android Twitter clients that can sync unread tweets?

I have a Samsung Captivate phone and Nook Color Tablet. It would be nice to have a twitter client that can sync unread tweets between the two devices. I don't need it to sync with a PC or iOS device.

I've been thinking about writing one, as I would like this too. It'll probably have a web client too (so that I can keep my unread-ness in sync between phone/tablet and PC) - any fancy features you'd need it to have? Or just "read my tweet stream"?

I have read that their is no "read" state in Twitter's API for DM or mentions, so I don't think this could ever work.

Try looking at TweetCaster or Plume. They both use the Tweetmarker service, so should do what you're looking for.
