How do I tell people about my new web apps?

• I am a very creative developer and I often create new apps. Most of the time I spam my twitter followers, Skype contacts and also I post on Hacker News every time. I'm sure by now my contacts are fed up with my ideas and also HN often just bury my submissions. I want to tell people about these ideas and get help testing them out but I don't have enough streams to tell people. Please help me find new places to tell people about my creations without me having to spend money on marketing/advertising.

  Your earlier approach won't work anywhere (it's not effective, and it will annoy people - resulting it them unfollowing/unfriending you). So, not the way to go. Your best option right now is other social media networks (you could go back to those sites, but it will take more effort and time). The key is to engage. Converse with people, share their content - in a word, give to them. Give, and you shall get. Okay, that may sound a bit corny, but it's true :) On Quora, you can answer questions (especially related to your niche). You have experience building web apps, help out newer users who are interested in learning it. Share your knowledge. Share your experience. There are other specific strategies, but those are more geared towards businesses/brands. In your case, I believe interacting alone should do the trick (it's the best strategy, anyways). Does take a lot of time and effort though. You can also try other websites (in the web apps niche) - Write for them, write about your experience (share your story) and at the end, ask them for feedback regarding your apps.
