Can I become a chess grand master if I start playing FIDE games?

  • I am 18 . I am an amatuer in chess. I didn't start playing FIDE games yet.

  • Answer:

Probability of any event is greater than zero. But to become a GM you must give up everything for the next 15 years , it is possible . However it is not worth the sacrifice and risk . Even after your struggle chances are you may not even achieve a IM tittle. But you can surely improve and become a good chess player.
