College dropouts and successful ventures may well be related. For cause and effect, however, I think it seems far more plausible that successful ventures make people drop out of college, than it does to expect that dropping out of college makes a viable business strategy.

don't think so... but they certainly seem to create most disruptive businesses. there is correlation between not conforming to status of quo and disruptive business. and by definition, disruptive business should have higher risk balanced by higher value at exit. They all average out at the end.
