What are the best programming languages to learn now?

What are the best programming languages to learn in order to build a cohesive app ecosystem that includes both iOS and RIA requirements?

I'm embarking on a long-term project to learn programming languages and code apps myself. The app ecosystem (which encompasses a number of apps that need to work together to enable and manage complex processes) needs to have components that work well on iOS and Android platforms, as well as sync data with more fully-feature RIA's running in browser. I have been coding HTML and some Javascript for years, from what I can tell, Objective-C and ROR might be the best options - any insights on language choices to learn would be helpful.

I'm no expert on the subject but my understanding is that Flash would be the way to go for you. Flash can give a RIA experience natively on a desktop computer and android device and it can also be cross-compiled into an iOS app. It's the closest you'll get to write once, run anywhere.
