Will links directly to pages of textbooks on books.google.com become reliable enough to use as electronic references?
-
For example, a link such as http://books.google.com/books?id=QZg9AAAAIAAJ&pg=PA70&dq=clever+use+of+technology&cd=1#v=onepage&q=clever%20use%20of%20technology&f=false. At the moment, the same link visited on different devices and different browsers results in different pages of a book.

Answer:
Hard to say. I am confidant that one day such electronic referances will be a common referance source. But if http://books.google.com will be a part of it is far less certain. Perhaps they shall become the standard for such things. Or perhaps some other company will do it better, and google will be sidelined. Or perhaps Google as a company will end, for some reason or another.
