How do I get a job in Microsoft/Google after completing computer science engineering from tier-2 college in India?
-
I completed my comp science engineering from not so well known college. I have got placed in IBM GBS. Is it possible for me to get a job in top notch companies like Google/Microsoft? I am good in programming and continuously improving myself. I don't have any references there though. What are the steps I can take to make myself ready to face interviews for such top notch companies?

Answer:
I would suggest you to apply directly on Google to a position which suits your profile. If your CV is impressive you will definitely get a call. In final year of my undergrad, I applied for a position and next day itself I got a call. Even though I didn't make it in the end after a series of interviews but the hiring process is smooth and transparent. And yes I graduated from a tier 2 college
