Is it true that international students in the United States face issues when applying for jobs related to the technologies which are listed in the Technology Alert List of the USA?
-
Buzz is that the technological organizations prefer the natives to perform jobs which lie in the field of Technology alert list. For example Robotics, Aerospace engineering etc. Is it a strict rule or an inclination of industries towards this trend? If yes, then how can an international student passionate about such research work get a job in the field?
-
Answer:
Sort of. Plenty of US students find it difficult or impossible to get those jobs too. If you want to do that kind of work in the US, and can't get those kinds of jobs at the moment, I would suggest you research what will be involved, decide if you want to make those sacrifices, and if so, stay in academia until you are eligible.
