Why is it still impossible for Indian Railways to make the process of booking a train ticket similar to booking a movie ticket?

For example at the time of booking it should show that only berths 45, 67, and 71 are available in S8.

If you are asking only about seat selection , then I think it will be available in 2-3 years. Presently , if this facility is implemented it will unnecessarily put overhead on already choked irctc servers.
