What are the best practices/etiquette to follow in webdesign when you are linking in bulk to other sites?
-
I've got a website ( http://www.vitalmedical.info ) which acts as a primitive search engine for finding free patient/medical information- the links are in a database on my site. I've made sure there is a credit on the page showing the origin of the links (eg 'via http://www.rch.org.au'). It opens the new site using javascript 'window.open' rather than a php redirect. Is there anything additional I need to do?

Answer:
If you are linking heavily to outside sites, I would spread out links across multiple pages. Generally, you want to keep less than 20 outbound links per page. This is typically known as the better strategy for search engines, in present day SEO algorithms.
