When is the cheapest time during the summer to fly to Europe?

When is the best time to buy tickets from the US to Europe for the summer?  Should I expect prices to drop soon or continue going up?

    I'm really interested to hear what some of the travel insiders have to say about this question (I'ld like to visit friends in Europe this summer!), but I'll share what I'd always heard when I was traveling back and forth between the UK (school) and US (home). I'd also like any feedback on if its true! The advice was to not book more than 4 months before your trip because you'll pay more because in essence they are holding a seat on a flight that might get changed, cancelled, etc. and you'll pay a premium for that. Rather try to look for a flight that is within a 4 month range of your trip to get the best price. I don't know if its true. Anecdotally, it seems true based on my experience, but any tips to save more money is appreciated =)
