HOW TO GET PROFILE 2.0?

Can I get ETH Zurich or any among the top 20 US universities with the following profile?

  • Branch: Electrical; GRE- 325; CGPA- 8.9; B.Tech. in electrical from an NIT; exp: 1 year in an MNC; NO PAPERS

  • Answer:

    Try your luck. You have higher chances for 10-20 ranked univs. For top 10, you need to be a 9.2-9.7 pointer with at least one good quality paper. But you can always give a try. There is luck factor too.

With a degree from one of the elite universities in India you have a good starting point! - A GRE is not required but an add-on. - Papers and work experience are optional but they will surely make you stand out. - CGPA, semester-wise GPA's and your academic performance in high school will matter too. But you seem to have this covered this area pretty well. If you want to be on the safe side - gain some work experience in the field of work you want to specialize in during your Masters.
