How can I apply for internships in National Instruments, Verizon, or Texas Instruments, India?

  • I will be completing my 3rd year of B Tech in Electronics and Communication from one of the older NIT. I want to apply for internships in summer in National Instruments, Verizon or Texas Instruments, India.

    The usual way: You will probably want to work with your placements coordinator, who will get in touch with the university relations at TI. Whether they will be visiting your campus depends on many factors, including existing relations with the college, placements/internship schedules, performance of students that have done internships earlier, and vacancies available. The unusual way: In rare cases, getting an endorsement from a senior engineer at TI who will offer to mentor you for the duration of the internship may help you get an internship position, but note that this only happens if you personally know someone and he/she is both convinced of your technical skills and is willing to vouch for you. I was an intern at Texas Instruments for a period of 2 months from may 2013-July 2013. The internship started after my 3rd year ended. In my case, Texas Instruments had come to my college and conducted aptitude tests and interviews during my 3rd year. It was the same case with the rest of the interns. To the best of my knowledge, I don't think anyone had applied as such. TI visits the campuses and conducts its selection process.
