How would you transfer data between your data structures and databases?

What are your data sets?

  • For example in computational chemistry they involve: http://www.rcsb.org/pdb/home/home.do a public database of crystallographically resolved protein structures.  that means we can see at an atomistic level how a drug molecule fits into a protein along the biochemical pathway. https://www.ebi.ac.uk/chembl/ a public database of molecules and their activities against proteins.  it's essentially an archive of what molecules people have made or purified against different biological targets. http://www.gdb.unibe.ch/gdb/home.html a public database of all atom connectivities to make molecules that are possible up to 13 atoms.  we call this chemical space (up to 13 atoms). There are many more that I am not listing, but mostly I am just curious what is available in other disciplines like social media or civil engineering.  also if there are large private databases of importance feel free to list them.

  • Answer:
