How to use goto in javascript?

What is a good series of projects to use to learn javascript?

  • I find it a bit hard (more so boring) to focus on learning javascript from the ground up as I have unfortunately been treating it as an  easy add-on to "real" server side code. This couldn't be farther from the truth especially with the benefits of AJAX, increasing breadth of what javascript can do and the cool stuff afforded by the libraries out there. I need real concrete projects to help me learn a language though. What are some small things I can build in order of increasing difficulty that can get me to a pretty good proficiency level with javascript, AJAX,  the jquery framework and maybe something like node.js? Also when I'm done what is that extra thing I can build that would mean I really "know what I am doing" when it comes to javascript?

  • Answer:

YC-backed is great for learning basic Javascript -- they make it fun and interactive.
