How to add two variable in bash?

How can I add two or more UVM test case names in the irun.sh script?

  • I have a bash script which tells IUS simulator what test case to run. currently it is running 1 testcase using the following command: +UVM_TESTNAME = base_test \ I want to know if there is any way I can add two or more testcase name in UVM_TESTNAME line. I am using IUS for compilation and simulation

  • Answer:

UVM allows only one UVM_TESTNAME per simulation.

's answer leaves nothing to be desired. What's your intention, though? If you want to run two or more tests one after the other, you can have a bash script that does that, specifying one at a time.

You can have only one testname per simulation with UVM_TESTNAME. If I understand you correctly you probably want to run more than one testcase after other. This can be done by changing the variable name in a bash script or Makefile which is being passed to UVM_TESTNAME. Hope it helps. Thanks

UVM/irun can run single test at a time, but if you want to run multiple tests on single design for regression testing then you can use Cadence Enterprise Manager. This tool runs multiple specified tests and generates functional/code coverage reports.  If you don't have this  tool then you can write your own script to run multiple testcases. create multiple bash command scripts. write a bash super script which runs the multiple bash scripts.
