How do I cope with having a two year long gap in my software career due to health issues?

Due to health issues, i have career gap 2 years. my job were software developer. In the 2 years gap time i were working as faculty in computer education center. Someone of my software friends saying "Don't say health issues in next company" they wont give a offer if you tell suffered by health issues or if you tell you were working as a faculty in eduction center. My friends asking me to Just tell family issues or personal problem. Is it okay ? I'm in dilemma and also having question in my mind and why i want to tell lie, If HR consider my issues. All persons comes back after some health issues, it is practical in Indian society everyone going to suffer with some of the health problems and comes back. If possible, please tell possible reasons i wants to tell. Hope expecting some good suggestions. Thanks.
