What is the average per unit cost of implementing an RFID inventory management system?

There are a lot of factors that should be taken into consideration when implementing an RFID inventory management system: 1. The cost of RFID tags and the duration of the tags. Some tags can only be used a few times and may not be water resistant. 2. The cost of the inventory system itself. Some companies charge more than others. I can't answer to the question, because i don't know what is the need of RFID coverage for your facility (readers, portal, mobile reader). I have just a comment about the cost of the infrastructure, there is a material part and a software part. Often we underestimate the cost of the software part.
