Is there any way to fix a Windows XP constant reboot problem and also keep current config settings? Essetially Windows XP is useless once the virus hits.

You know what I mean? you set up windows, add tons of new apps and suddenly it got infected with virus. Windows XP can never complete the boot process, even in Safe Mode. I had enough of windows as this occurs on different windows at least three times, can't find a solution to this problem except a clean install. Any ideas?

Answer:
Download Hiren's Boot CD15 from http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/ and write this setup to a CD. And then boot from this CD. Hiren's BootCD provides options for fixing startup or booting problems.Try this.
