I have 8 years of experience as programmer and developer. Hold an MS in computer science and PMP. I want to work as a software developer lead/project manager now. What is the best way to do this without going back to school?

Answer:
In my opinion, if you have a PMP you are on the right track and most certainly need not go back to school to be a project lead/manager. All you have to do is take part and get some managerial experience (without being the manager) so this will help you cite some examples in your resume, then keep looking out for opportunities within your company or even outside and just apply with an appropriate resume. The key here is to keep applying, pretty sure you will hear back in no time. Until then, just a little patience. Good luck!
