Should university start at age 40 to give students a chance to figure out what they want to do?

Two decades of exploration after high school should be enough time for people to figure out what they want to do with the rest of their lives. At that point, they could start university.

People figure out what they want to do at all sorts of different ages. I got total clarity when I was 42 (shows what a stint as a senior suit in a Fortune 15 corporation will do you for you) but I also see kids in my son's 2nd grade class that I suspect have it pretty well wired at age 7 or 8. No, college shouldn't start at 40 for most people but should be geared to accept a range of incoming students from perhaps 16 or 17 to 66 or 70.
