Is there anything better than Google Adsense?

  If the reason why you're looking for something better than Adsense is because you think it isn't a good way of making money, then you'd need a mindset alternative more than an Adsense alternative. There are people who make decent revenues with Adsense. It is not easy, but also not impossible. What you need is the right amount of the right kind of traffic and the right vertical. Most people would advise you to focus on niches with high CPCs so that you earn more per click even though there are lesser clicks but it' probably much easier to focus on a niche that has a lot of potential for thousands or even millions of longtail keywords to create content around and attract a lot of traffic with. There's only so much you can write about "Mesothelioma Lawyers" :) The secret to making bank with Adsense is to find that market where the products being advertised bring a high profit margin to the advertisers and/or there is a lot of hot competition (web hosting comes to mind). But if you're still looking for an Adsense alternative, then you'd probably be better off selling ad spaces on your website independent of any network or platform. But first, you'd need good content and a good following.
