Where is the best place to go in the holidays?

Where is the best place (out of Kuala Lumpur and in Malaysia only) to go during these Hari Raya holidays for an expat (single and Hindu)?

  • Talked to some local friend , they said that Penang ( and other places ) would be whole jam.  Please suggest some option, objective is relaxation and site seeing. Place should not be much crowded.

  • Answer:

    Ipoh. You could drive, take a train up, whatever. Because it's Raya and most people would be leaving town, it might be crowded and jammed everywhere outside KL: highways would be congested, airports and train stations too. Which is great for locals, because ghost town KL is the best..you're better off staying in KL? There's no 'best' place to see - everyone's got different likes and dislikes.
