How To Activate Fm 2012 Without Steam?

If I activate a game on Steam, do I lose the ability to later install it from disc?

  • I've bought several games retail on DVD, and then registered them on Steam, in order to protect the disc. The receipt after registering says I can only access the game using my Steam account. Does this mean I can only access the game using Steam, or just that I cannot use another Steam account to access the game? I'd like to think I can still use the disc, should my Steam account ever experience problems, or (sometime in the future) Steam were to go out of business and I still wanted to play my vintage games.

  • Answer:

You can now install it either on steam or from the disc, but if through steam, then only on the account the game was added to.

You can install it either way, but you can't use another account in order to do it and you have to stay logged into your account in order to get onto it. Which requires internet access at all times, if I understand correctly.

Yes. You can install it with a disc. But, you will have to login to a steam accout i which you registered that product, but you won't have to download it. It will simply (as much faster) install it over disc.
