Where can I rent an LCD Projector?

I need to rent a conference room with projector/LCD TV with Sunday/Evening access in Seattle. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • Answer:

You don't state what size you need, and you don't state the purpose, but... Depending on your location (and the location of your attendees), the Seattle Public Library (Central) might be one option. You can get an overview of SPL's rooms, rates, and equipment here: http://www.spl.org/default.asp?pageID=branch_central_meetingrooms_userinfo&branchID=1 Many SPL branch libraries also have conference rooms available, although these would likely be smaller than those available at the Central Library. SPL's main page is here: http://www.spl.org/default.asp?pageID=home . Use the "Library Locator" drop down menu to find a branch near you. The people at Youngstown Cultural Arts Center in West Seattle are fantastic to work with. Depending on your needs, their facility is awesome. http://www.youngstownarts.org/. Click on the tab that says "Rentals." Good luck with your search!

One of the coolest and greenest places on the planet is http://www.islandwood.org/meetings, a 35 minute ferry ride from Seattle to Bainbridge Island. I know, because I used to be a travel writer and have seen many a cool and green place. I returned from IslandWood last week. During my visit, I examined all of their meeting facilities, and was impressed. I mentioned I planned to write about them on Quora, I was that impressed. You will be, too. The benefits of holding a meeting, co-working, and spending time athttp://www.islandwood.org/meetings/meetingrooms are many: The place is quiet, native tree-filled and beautiful, which is quite an asset to team-building and creating consensus. Their facilities are spotlessly clean and, literally, state-of-the-art green. The areas designed for meetings contain all media, wifi, and everything else needed. Just specify what you'll be using. The food will make foodies swoon. Meals and special diets can be arranged in advance. Almost everything is locally sourced, organic, and seasonal. They have their own vegetable garden and greenhouse, which meeting attendees can visit before the meeting starts, or afterward. Every. Single. Staff. Is. Wonderful. You will be taken care of beyond your wildest dreams. They are welcoming, knowledgeable, quick, helpful, aware... I can't say enough about their abilities to meet everyone's needs and exceed expectations. Activities for groups are available. These are fun, inclusive, and interesting. For example, there is a huge art studio and you can plan ahead to design projects with the IslandWood staff which anyone in your group can do quickly. The resulting art is a keepsake of the day. See the website. http://www.islandwood.org/about/directions links to directions which are simple. Most of all, everybody who attends will remember the meeting forever, because the place itself is so special. IslandWood is a not for profit organization. By holding your meeting or conference at IslandWood, you make it possible for free outdoor education to be provided about the environment to underserved urban schoolchildren using funds generated from meetings and conferences. "IslandWood operates year-round as a provider of environmental education and is staffed with experienced, full-time faculty. During the school year, IslandWood provides a 4-day residential School Overnight Program for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students in the Puget Sound region at our facility on Bainbridge Island." (-- this is a quote from http://www.islandwood.org/school_programs). Your conference attendees will feel ready to listen and learn just because you made it possible for all of them to be there. You will feel good about it, too. Aren't these the most important aspects of any meeting you host?
