How do designer draw the dotted lines in the process of Logo design?

  I believe you are talking about the dotted lines in the below image I hope you know these dotted lines are helping you create a logo with smoth and  accurate shape. to make these guides in photoshop  use circle selection tool or pen tool for lines and apply dashed strokes for them. Keep the reference layer on top and lock it. i think this may be the simplest method. following steps will show how to draw the dashed lines and circles using adobe photoshop. Step 1: Select Square Brush and choose the appropriate size and then open brush palette. Step 2: In Brush Palette, select Brush tip shape and in that Check the "spacing" check box and select the spacing from the slider ( You will get the visual feedback below.) Step 3: In "Size" adjust the pointers to get the required dashed shape Step 4: Select Shape Dynamics from brush palette. Then in angle jitter control choose "direction" thats it you are all set to go.. Draw a line using pen tool then right click on the path and choose stroke path. in Stroke path menu choose brush and then click ok. that's it you will get the dashed line For circle  Dashed lines follow the below steps Select the ellipse shape tool in tools menu make sure you have chosen path instead of shape in the navigator then draw the circle and right click on the circle and choose stroke path and choose brush on the menu and click ok. your final output will be
