When will Google Android marketplace be available?

Why is Google blocking Kongregate's Game App for being competitive while not openly complaining about Amazon's Android App Marketplace ambitions?

  • Answer:

A friend pointed out to me that this is more about the existence of Kongregate in the Android Marketplace.  So Amazon can build an Android App Marketplace which is competitive with Google's Android Marketplace, but Amazon will have to promote their App Marketplace in places other than the Android App Marketplace.

The short and easy answer to this is that they would be allowing an app, that provides access to TONS of free games. This would just be a bad move on the part of Android, not to mention some of the free games on Kong cost a giant .99$ on Android.  Indie developers are already underpaid, so it could cause waves of games that when bought have much more content, to disappear!  This is in addiction to the standard non-compete clause listed above.
