What happen if I submit a job application to Facebook then de-activate my Facebook account?
-
I applied to an intern position at Facebook few weeks ago, and haven't heard back yet. Recently, I deactivated my Facebook account due to some personal reasons. Since Facebook uses the same type of account for the job site, will my job application to Facebook be dismissed?
-
Answer:
Having an account is not required to get a hire. It helps you out during the interview process so you can get a good idea of the product and have opinions on it, how it can be improved and try to understand the scaling and engineering problems behind it. But your application/resume won't be toss just because you don't have an account.
