How do people balance working on different life goals daily?

What are they? What do you do when you "want" and "know" you should be working but don't feel like it. I am having a hard time dedicating myself to study for the LSATs after long 9-5 work days and keeping on top of my weight loss goals/gym schedule. Got advice?

I have a 9-5 job as well as doing freelance on the side. When i get home from work, and on weekends, I break down my day into segments. xxx hours for exercise, xxx hours for writing,,xxx hours for leisure, etc. Keep to a schedule that fits your life and you can get a lot of things done.
