I worked in TCS for 7 months. Now I don't want to work in the IT sector anymore and am planning to switch to the banking sector. Do I need to pay a bond amount? And if I don't pay, what will be the consequences?

Answer:
You will have to pay bond amount unless that they won't give you release from company. However if you show higher studies as reason you may get some meagre relaxations in Bond amount to be paid .. Again it all depends on HR

First if you dont want to pay bond amount dont pay, its simple. Possibility of any legal action is less then 0% , why? 1. Company like TCS wont fight and spend money for amount of 50K , it too small for them. Lawyers cost more then that. 2. They cant defend the document you had signed , because few years back according to ruling of SC of India , no company can force you to work with them or can ask for money if you are leaving. Though they can ask for refund of expenses they had made during training But for that they need shits like Bills. So forget about it , go ahead and enjoy.Anonymous because of my association with TCS.

U will not get the experience certi if u dont pay the bond amount..now since u are planning on leaving the IT sector, the work-ex certi will be useless to u...ur last 3 salary slips is adequate to prove that u worked in TCS....u dont need a work-ex certi for that...they wont initiate any legal action against u...as it wont be profitable for tcs to move to court for 50k......many ppl leave tcs without work ex certi to work in banking sector & they dont face any trouble at all regarding their previous work ex

Few of my friends left the company without paying the bond amount. Its almost an year now and there is no legal action against them.If you don't need the experience certificate , you need not pay anything. For your case, you don't need an experience certificate.

If you don't pay you won't get the experience certificate.. If you dont want that no need to pay.. No legal action or nothing that sort of can be taken by any company in India.
