How can I get my income directly to my bank account?

My Colombian girlfriend is required to have six months of income in a bank account to get a tourist visa for Ireland to visit me. Neither she nor I have those six months of income.  Can she be added as an account holder to her parent's account, and removed herself as a holder once she gets the visa?

  • I'm Italian.

  • Answer:

As far as I'm aware she requires a bank statement as proof of funds.  If its possiable, have her parnets transfer funds into her bank account, print out the bank statement, and then once she is in the country transfer the money back to them.

In my experience, that should be fine. I applied for a Working Holiday visa to Ireland in Summer 2009, and they required me to have proof that I had money to support myself with (in the event that I lost my job or something). My parents put the money in my account and withdrew it once I had gone over. I should add that I was an American citizen and that I was only applying for a year, so possibly the situation is different.
