If you could invent 1 thing what would u invent?

If one were to discover, invent, or find an as of yet unknown technology, item, or thing, what should they do next?

• Say, for example, time travel or maybe far future tech discovered today. What should their goal be and what should they do to achieve that? Should they bring such a thing to market? If so, how? What about security (imagine finding a car running on water, and what certain industries would do to prevent such a thing happening)? Do they want to keep such a thing to themselves? How could they ensure this happens? Consider this in many ways. Like someone without Bill Gates kind of money bringing this to fruition.

  The value of a technology is not in possessing the idea. The value is in the application of that technology to solve problems. And the more widely the technology can be applied, the more valuable that technology is. So the next two steps would be analyzing the potential benefits of the technology and implementing the technology. Can it help people do things faster, better, cheaper? Who would be the users of this? Are the uses of this in multiple industries or in ways that you hadn't originally envisioned. For implementation, can you implement it on a wide scale by yourself or do you need a partner or a licensee? Can you make a prototype to demonstrate and quantify the benefits? Are there legal issues which you need to deal with? The list goes on and on.
