Why should I choose to have a career in the medical field?

If you had to choose between two streams/subjects that would eventually land you in a career in that field, which would you choose and why?

  A2A Well, I have already opted for the first choice. Back in my school days I was good in maths, but pretty poor in biology. But then, I made a life changing decision. In class XI, I opted for Biotechnology as my fifth subject (though there were many other choices as well), with maths. At that time, I was not sure about my future and had never ever thought of making biotech as my career. But suddenly, I started finding biotech pretty interesting. I liked the research approach associated with the field. It showed me many a things, which I wanted to have in my dream career. So, when I started filling forms for engineering back in 2012, I kept biotechnology as my priority. I knew that I am getting away from my favourite subject i.e. maths (we do had to study maths here, but just for 3 Semesters that too at an elementary level), and had to opt for BIOLOGY. But my choice was clear. BIOTECHNOLOGY- MY DREAM CAREER. And here I am. I don't know what I will do in my future, but I am happy that i know what I am doing and why I am doing (unlike many of my friends). So, I hope that you might have got the point what to choose and why to choose!
