As an admit to Columbia for an MS in computer engineering and to the University of Maryland (UMD) for an MS in computer science, which should I pick?
-
Want 2 study CS courses which I can do at both places. Getting full tuition wavier at UMD + $9500 stipend for 1st semester. Post grad aim is to get job. Columbia offers better name/place than UMD which provides funding.
-
Answer:
Columbia is a private school located in nyc. So the cost of living and tuition ought to be high. If finances aren't an issue choose Columbia. Umd is also a pretty good school. Given a choice I'd go with it. If I may ask, how is your profile and when will you be starting?
