What is a precinct?

What were the costs to run each precinct level office during the Obama presidential campaigns?

  • How much did Obama spend on local precinct level outreach campaigns for each office? e.g. a cost breakdown of  local office space, local staff, printing, postage,  canvassing street teams, etc? In other words, what is the cost breakdown of the ~$20 per vote metric? Thinking might know this.

  • Answer:

On what planet would it be beneficial for the experts in Obama's campaigns to answer that question?  You can look at public filings for answers, but I don't think you will find the answers you want.  Any "average" numbers will ignore the vast difference in expenditures in "swing" states versus "non-swing" states.  The electoral college system ensures that we do NOT have a "one-man-one-vote" election system in the United States.
