What is the best way to get clients?

What is the best way for a foreigner to get SEO clients in the United States?

  • I'm a SEO specialist living in Italy. Provided that I'm wiling to show that I can work both in the Italian and English markets, how can I get some new clients in the United States?

  • Answer:

Start a blog and start sharing what you know about SEO. That helps you build trust and credibility. The next step is going to where your potential clients are at online. Share your knowledge provide guidance, and answer questions. That way they can head over to your blog and check out your services to see how you can help them specifically.

Great question! and fantastic to see that you are willing to expand your SEO services into becoming a global operation. Acquiring clients overseas is not as hard as many SEO consultants believe it to be and I will discuss why. After building and selling a local marketing agency alongside coaching many other SEO and marketing consultants I've been able to simplify a client acquisition strategy so that you can avoid the numerous mistakes I have made. My video below explains what I've crafted to be the "3C" system for being able to attract http://www.seoclientsondemand.com/ and those clients could be within your local, national or even global area. If you found this video highly valuable please upvote this response as it would mean the world to me. Thanks and looking forward to hearing about your successes with implementing the 3C system! There's no hard barriers to overcome even if you're a foreigner. The only hard barrier is the ability to speak English and communicate what you can provide and what you can do for the client. That's the most important when it comes to client work. The ability to tell your client what you are going to do for them.

My boss shared this story from a business book he read. It's about an insurance salesman who focused entirely on dairy farmers (or some niche industry), and made a great living as a result. I think that can apply to your case. Focus on people from a specific industry who already understand the need to be found on Google. Then sell them, and don't charge unless you generate results. That way, it's risk-free for prospects to try out your services, and you start establishing some credibility in an industry. If I was in your shoes and had to focus on an industry, I would focus on one where people from that industry often swap tips with each other. The more connected, the better, because that means they'll tell others about you and you'll see some nice word-of-mouth.
