How to upgrade Apache 2.2.15 to 2.4.4 in CentOS?

Which C++ logging package for Centos 5?

  • We are selecting C++ logging libraries similar to log4j for running on Centos 5. It seems there are several choices: boost log: http://boost-log.sourceforge.net... apache log4cxx: http://logging.apache.org/log4cx... log4cpp: http://log4cpp.sourceforge.net/ The  boost log seems to have active development activities. But it is not  part of the boost library yet. There is no rpm to install it easily. The  apache log4cxx seems to have active development and maintenance, and it  has rpm releases for Fedora already. Anyone has experiences running the  Fedora release on Centos 5? The log4cpp does not seem to have active development/maintenance activities. It has rpm for centos_5 already. http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/... Any suggestions or experiences using these libraries?

  • Answer:

i prefer to use the log4cpp cause it has the printf style logging. If u use log4cxx  u will have to format the string yourself, maybe use boost::format will do some help. I don't use boost::log cause it seems to too complicated.
