How and what scholarships can I get?

How can I get scholarships to continue studying computer science?

• Hello. I am currently a freshman at s local university and I am looking to get some scholarships to continue my education in computer science. I took a lot of loans this year, I want to cover most of my costs for next year, because its really expensive. I have worked on various Android apps, and I work part time at a local startup. Where can I find computer science oriented scholarships and/or grants that I could apply for?

  Some companies offer scholarships. I know that both http://careers.microsoft.com/careers/en/us/internships-scholarships.aspx and http://www.google.com/edu/students/scholarships.html have scholarships you can apply for. I do believe that to be eligible for the Microsoft scholarship, you need to have applied to or accepted an internship offer from them (their application is currently closed, so I can't verify this). Additionally, you should check with your school to see if they have any corporate scholarships available. If you're doing research, you might try applying for a research grant. I've participated in the SRC's https://www.src.org/program/srcea/uro/ program, but that is only offered at certain schools (listed on that page). The http://www.nsf.gov/funding/ gives out grants, but you probably have to be doing really high level research.
