How can I tell if a nice guy is flirting with me?

  • I've never really built up my dating & flirting skillsets. I didn't date at all in high school and tended to have casual hookups rather than official dates in college. With my little amount of knowledge and experience with dating culture, how should I determine whether a man I am talking to is flirting with me? I'm almost positive that I miss a lot of flirting, probably because I am sort of used to overaggressive men. This means I miss the nice guys who are reserved and respectful and not pushy.     Well for one, a nice guy who likes you will have a real conversation with you. I mean they will really listen to you, not half listen to you and then go on about themselves, or get distracted by something else, but actually listen and continue the dialog in a natural way. Of course a shy nice guy may be a little more nervous and might struggle to keep up the conversation in a natural way, but you can usually tell if they're shy and nice because they're staring at your shoes :)
