What Do I Have To Do To Better My Chances For An Internship?

Does a gap year or a drop affect the chances of getting a foreign internship or does it affect the chances of entering an elite university for MS/PhD (like MIT, Caltech, Berkley)?

Does it affect the chances of entering an elite university for MS/PhD (like MIT, Caltech, Berkley)? No, a MS/PhD is meant for specialization. It just matters that you should be an eligible candidate in terms of academia and doing the research-oriented stuff. Can it affect job opportunities in Google, Facebook, Microsoft? Consider that a gap year gets me into an old IIT and a decent branch. Well, if you are thinking that only getting into an elite institution will get you through these companies, then you are wrong. Getting into these institutions never guarantee a job at Facebook or Google. If you are talented enough, they will surely hire you. Just do your best, and they'll do their best :) Also, is a partial drop better than a complete drop (If I get to pursue EEE or CS at BITS Pilani, Pilani campus) ? A big NO, do this only if you are so hardworking, else it can affect your grades at the freshman year and (or) you might end up not getting admission to the instituition you were looking at.
