    Great question. I am a Massage Practitioner. Working the in field going on 5 years now, I can tell you that the biggest challenge is getting those that really don't understand the benefits of massage to see it as a necessity and make it a priority. In other words, developing a steady clientele. The best way to grow your business is through volunteer work. Getting your name out there. Networking with other successful Therapists. We are always looking for others to work with because of the increase popularity of Spa Parties etc. It's so much that I could share with you.

I would disagree with any sort of volunteer work as it will totally undervalue your work. You need to understand where you want to pitch yourself in the market. Do you want to work locally or would you like to work in the centre of a city? What kind of massages are you promoting? Premium products in great venues or sports massage? Are you relying on a beauty salon to promote you or do you have to promote your own business? Find you niche and then once you have found it you need to understand how to promote yourself.  The possibilities are endless. If in doubt hire a marketing mentor to guide you through what you need to do. They are worth their weight in gold as if you pitch your business right and offer premium products in the right way you will be able to make great money relatively easily.
