Is it possible to tell Google that I no longer have any interest in a search term and to stop showing me adverts and YouTube videos for that query?

If my son has used my Chrome browser and watched Minecraft videos (for example) on youtube, I get bombarded with "suggested" videos about Minecraft... a topic of ZERO importance to me! Is there a way to speed up the removal of these suggestions from my results, rather than just waiting for natural attrition?
