GATE needs conceptual clarity to crack more than anything else ! But it also needs systematic approach and dedicated preparation. As IT worker you would get weekends and on bench (if you are lucky!) facility, make use of it !! Everyday take out about 3-4 hours of preparation is good enough to go!! Pick few subjects in your stream. Try to master them. Revise if any of important concepts you left out during your engineering. Form a study group discuss with your friends and get into interactive study more. Go through previous year question papers and try to see the pattern. Understand level of difficulty. Go to coaching if you have time ! And go through few practices test online so that you would get a practice session on this mocks. Stay away from facebooks and whatsapp of the world.
