R: how to visualize categorical data?

How available is Palantir's technology to the average user who wants to analyze and visualize a bunch of disparate data?

  • This is a follow-up question to . Because there is a bunch of data out there from various sources, and I would love an effective visualization tool for it.  If it could match up existing ontologies and cross-reference stuff for me, I could become a god among men.

    There is a publicly available version of Palantir Finance called Joyride (https://joyride.pfinance.com/).  You can import small timeseries and property-value datasets using the Importer tool.  A custom deployment is needed to hook-up larger datasets.

There's demo's you can play with, but the true answer is, it's not. It's designed for heavy enterprise, so there isn't really a focus on use case for an individual.
