How do you use twitter?

How does the use of LinkedIn compare with the use of Twitter -- and how do these compare with the use of Quora?

  • Why do people use all three? Are all users consistent in their different usage of each of these?

  • Answer:

This is how I see it. Quora People discuss questions from various topics including life and business. LinkedIn Good place to store information about peoples professional life. Good for professionals to have a conversation about matters related to business. Twitter People share links to those conversations. Or other conversations and articles. I tend to use Twitter for discovery of links. I follow people that I know curate good information. And likewise people follow me, so I share links that I enjoy. As a matter of fact, someone even listed me as "smart rarely annoying" which I consider a huge compliment lol.

Other answers

LinkedIn: Read, discuss, and share business/professional related industry news, opinion, and advice from individuals or companies. Twitter: Sharing or reading small bites of content often with ability to read more (via a shared link). Great way to consume a large number of items quickly. Facilitates the ability to successfully interact with or gain the attention of certain people or brands. Quora: Designed for, and excels at, questions and answers.
