What is a reputable, reliable website for nutritional information?

What information is shared with a website or service that I allow to connect through Facebook Connect or OAuth?

  • This is a follow-up question to . Facebook tries to explain about privacy, but I couldn't really understand from their posts: http://j.mp/byU8HQ and http://j.mp/aL3Ns5 if connecting with Facebook connect allows that website or web service to access my private information, or does my information simply migrate straight to me through these websites and services, without them being able to actually access it.

  • Answer:

Essentially, when a site requests you to authenticate with facebook they ask for a specific set of data.  They legally have to do this.  For example http://sparknotes.com asks for your basic information, the ability to send you email, the ability to post on your wall and to access your information.  A user cannot change what is asked for when they attempt to connect via facebook connect, that is up to the site's discretion.  You, as a user, have the choice to not authenticate with facebook when you are prompted by a website.
