What is the definition of true friendship?

I need a clear cut definition for friendship. which is true friendship whether it may to boy or girl or both?

    Friend is one who understand you completely, whatever you say, whenever you need, wherever you are and whatever you do he/she always with you. But when you are wrong he/she shout on you and try to share a blame of yours with perfect smile. He/she your perfect fun partner and crime partner too. In life's up and down he/she always around. A Friend have all roles like father, mother, brother and sister and teacher . Some time enemy too but as a well wisher..... oh one more thing friend is always more than lover. :) :p

there is nothing as true friendship as such. be it boys or girls.   but i would define.   A source of love,affection,care,help,shoulder to cry on, hands to pat us other than our blood relations is definetly a friend.
