What will the earth will look like in the future?

What would the earth look like 65 million years in the future? How would tectonic plate movement change the positions of the continents?

  • I'm looking for images in particular. Would there be significant change in weather patterns too?

  • Answer:

You could still likely make out the shapes of the continents as they currently exist, but the Americas would be considerably farther north than today (and minus California, which would have broken off and moved towards collision with Alaska), and Africa will have completed its merge with the Eurasian Plate, closing off the Mediterranean.
