How To Search Docs?

Is there an easy way to store data online and search for it directly instead of being shown a file as in Google Docs for example?

• I want to have my very own database like the big boys where a Search can be made on files that are ALL stored in a database, NOT like the desktop files, that can be indexed and thus searched. That kind of desktop system is too unwieldy, too many files to manage and move around. I am not looking for just a file storage system, but one that is searchable, one database only, any such software for consumers?
