Is there any reason to buy a Roku 3 instead of a Streaming Stick?

Roku just announced the latest version of their Streaming Stick will sell for $50, while the Roku 3 is priced at $100. The comparison page (http://www.roku.com/products/compare) makes the products look pretty similar, and it certainly doesn't look like the Roku 3 is twice as good as the stick. Am I missing something, or do you think they'll discontinue the Roku 3?

http://m.roku.com/products/compare Roku 3 has ports for Ethernet and external storage. It also has a headphone jack in it's remote, all things the Roku Streaming Stick does not have.

Speed.... The Roku3 isn't exactly snappy and its supposed to be extremely faster than the stick. Also what Ian said. I really don't care much about the streaming channels (Maybe I would if I had Netflix, Amazon Prime or Hulu+) I do have a 2tb drive plugged into Roku and love that I can play the stuff on that drive.
